Has Your Skin Type Changed

There you are going along with your regular skin care routine without a care in the world and then one day, your skin is not looking as great as it was. You might just shrug it off as you fighting off a bit of cold. Perhaps it was something that you ate last night. When one day of not liking the reflection that you see in the mirror turns into many, it is time to ask yourself the important question. Has your skin type changed?

As we age, our body goes through many different changes. Now many people think that the only change that really happens with their skin and skin care routine has to do with lines and wrinkles. This is not the case. For some women, they can go from being very oily to being as dry as the Sahara desert.

Find Your Skin Type and Look Better

Older Is Not Always Wiser

As you age your skin type ages too. One of the biggest changes that can happen is that you can become drier. Your skin does not hold onto moisture as well as it ages. This is the time in your life when you need the hydration the most and it is just not there for you.

Depending on where you start on the scale, you could only have converted to a combination or normal skin type. Many women eventually make it over to the severely dry list.

Not Knowing = Wrong Skin Care

If you do not take the time to release that you are under going changes, you are going to be using the wrong products to take care of yourself. The wrong skin care routine can often do more harm then good. It is a good idea to pay special attention to what you are seeing in the mirror in the morning to see if it is time to change some of the products in your routine. Perhaps all you need to do is to change from a lotion to a cream for the extra hydration that you need.

It is important to make the changes now to see a better appearance in the mirror tomorrow.
