Have you ever looked at the women that had fabulous nail art done to their nails and wished that you could afford to go have this done? Well now you can create some stunning masterpieces on your nails from the comfort of your own home. No longer do you have to pay some big salon price tag to look great.

As with any do at home item, the more practice that you have the better the nail art will come out. The other thing to remember is that there are some looks that are going to be very hard to duplicate at home without the special equipment that they have in the salons. So lets take a look at some of the looks that you can achieve.

Multi Color Designs

One of the simplest ways to start doing nail art at home is to start with simple multi color designs. This can be as simple as painting half your nail one color and the other half another color. You can even do a base coat and then put polka dots as your design. It is a good idea to have smaller brushes so that you can really control where each color goes as you apply it.

Rhinestones

Everyone needs a little bit of bling in their life. You can achieve yours with rhinestones used as your nail art. You can get bags of loose stones that you can apply to your nails. You can do this usually over any base coat. It is even possible to create designs with it once you have mastered applying them. You will want to use a special glue to set them in place and then seal them with a clear top coat.

Decals

Why not get a bit snazzy with your nail art by applying some decals? These little pictures are kind of like stickers that you put on, but they are a much better quality. You can get nail decals in many different designs and even match them up to the time of year that you are in.

The Right Tools

The secret to being able to do nail art at home is to have the right tools to use. Smaller brushes and glues are needed for some designs. You need to practice and see just what works for you. There are kits available that will give you everything that you need to get started in getting some great looks.
