How to Remove Eye Makeup

After you have spent time applying the perfect eye makeup, the last thing that you think about is how to remove it at the end of the day. Well that is until it is time to go to bed and you realize that the smoky eye that you created is not just going to come off easily with soap and water. Many of the products that you use around the eye are formulated to stay on even when they are a bit wet. For this reason, you are going to need a specific process to remove eye makeup.

Step One

Choose an eye makeup remover that is hypo allergenic. It is important to make sure that anything that you use around the eyes is not going to irritate them. The skin around your eyes is the most delicate on your face and it needs to be treated as such.

Step Two

Put the product that you are planning to use on a cotton ball. You do not need a lot of product to remove eye makeup. Using more will only cause it to get into your eyes.

Step Three

Dab the cotton ball across your eye starting with the inner corner and working your way out. You might need to get a fresh cotton ball with eye makeup remover on it and repeat a few times depending on how dark the products are that you are trying to get rid of.

Step Four

The final step to remove eye makeup is to dab a cotton swab into the eye makeup remover. You want to run the cotton swab along the bottom of your eye. This will get rid of any liner and mascara that you might have applied down there. It will also clean up any makeup that might have smudged down there as you were doing step three.
