Wedding Makeup Tips

When preparing for your big day, it is important to collect together all the wedding makeup tips that you are going to need look great all day. For many women doing there own makeup for their big day is just something that they would not have any other way. For others, it is about saving money. No matter which group that you fall into, these ideas of what to do are going to help you out.

Number One

Allow your moisturizer to completely dry on your face before you even attempt to apply your foundation. If there is a layer of moisturizer on your skin, your base will not be able to adhere to your skin. This will cause it to wear off early in the festivities of the day. If you want some help with this, you can use a blow dryer on the cool setting to help to dry your face completely.

Number Two

Use an all day foundation that has a dewy look to it. Something that is luminous and light reflecting works well too. Many women will go with a matte stay put foundation that they know will not wear off at all during the day. The problem with this is that the matte finish does not usually photograph well. So yes, your makeup will look great all day. Your pictures will not.

Number Three

One of the best products that you can use for your blush is going to be a cream blush. The cream based ones have a better staying power then many of their powder counter parts. You will find that these products when applied correctly can give you a natural looking blush that will make you shine on your wedding day.

Number Four

When we are talking about wedding makeup tips, we can not forget about eyeshadow. The best way to make sure that your colors look great and stay where you put them is to prime the eye lids before you put the eyeshadow on. You can use a product like MAC's primer for eyes or you can just use your concealer to do the trick.

Number Five

Waterproof mascara and waterproof or smudge proof eye liner is a must. You do not want your eye makeup running at the first sign of tears.

Number Six

For your lips, you can line and color in your entire lip with lip liner before applying your lipstick or lip gloss. This will ensure that as your lip color wears off you will still have some color on them. If you do not want to have to worry about this then you are going to want to use a product like Covergirl Outlast Lipstick.
